Why Cheap isn't Always the Cheapest

April 07, 2021

We always want to find good deals on products when we go shopping. Why would you want to pay more for something when there's an alternative that works just the same? And while this train of thought is fine for some products, it doesn't always work out with others. If you're buying something that you plan on using for a long time, it's better to pay a little more to get a brand that is reliable. Think of this example. If you are someone that loves camping and goes often, should you buy the cheap tent or the expensive one? While it might seem like you'll save money by getting the cheaper one, that's not always the case. When the cheap tent breaks or rips after two uses, it suddenly becomes more expensive to replace it than it would have been to just buy the expensive one, because that expensive one will last much longer.
